An old stair stringer was used for the timber veneer. The cut-outs for the stair treads create pockets of resin. The wider strips are mixed with narrower strips of hardwood. The base uses the same plywood structure, but the top is slightly narrower.

This coffee table has a plywood base with trapezoid legs and a blue resin and reclaimed timber veneer. The thin timber veneers are cut from an old railway sleeper with a deep, natural dark wood. The blue resin is a blue sapphire. The finish uses a custom tung oil, linseed oil and beeswax mix. This hard wax finish provides waterproofing, a natural oil to feed the timber, and a hard wax finish to protect against daily use. The finish is designed to be rubbed back and reapplied if required.
